Storm sirens are wailing, a strong wind is blowing, hail is pounding the city where I work (about thirty minutes from my house), and we have flash flood warnings, but the rain hasn't hit my town yet.
The old cliche of wind roaring in the trees--it's the real deal. Between the wind and the siren, and the howling dogs, it's hard to hear the television reports.

There you go, a providential tornado. Be sure to record all the sensual data for your scene regarding the rescue of hero man. You are going to use that aren't you? Remember, stay low and try for an inside room with no windows.
I used to think we had strong weather in the UK. It's nothing compared to the storms (and heat and cold) I have experienced in America .. Hope it's not too bad for you.
We're starting to get back to normal in this area: installing new windows in cars and buildings, returning to schools, moving businesses out of destroyed facilities, waiting for water to recede and ground to dry. As far as I know, only one person died--in Oklahoma--as a result of these storms. Thank God only stuff, not more people, was damaged.
Glad you're safe and the storm is receding. Good luck getting back to normal.
Thanks. It's all sunshine and great weather today.
