Stole this quote from Jessy Ferguson's blog:

Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.

O.K., the moon is not shining.

Show me the reflection of the sun bouncing off the moon and speeding to earth to spend it's last flecks of energy as a glint on shattered glass only to blind the thief a half second before he shot the first officer on scene and thereby saving a life by traveling millions of miles at the speed of light to change a moment of time.

Whoa, holy run-on sentence, Batman! I like the quote though and what it implies.

(laughing) Great run-on, though. A few years ago, another writer and I sponsored a contest at a writing retreat for the best run-on sentence. They're fun to write, and you can cram an entire story into one.
